Open Monday-Friday, 8-4:30
At the Offices of the Governor of Vermont, James Douglas
5th Floor, Pavilion Office Building
109 State St., Montpelier, Vermont 05602 (entrance on Gov. Davis Avenue side)

"In July of 2003 David Schόtz, the curator of the Vermont Statehouse invited me to have a solo exhibition at the offices of the Governor of Vermont. Of course, I was delighted to assemble a selection of paintings that reflects my love of the land and people of my adopted state of Vermont. In reviewing the paintings I had on hand, I realized that I needed to paint a couple of new works to fill out my vision of the exhibit. After six months of planning and painting, the selection of works was complete."
After some kind words from Governor Jim Douglas,
William and he discuss the paintings at the opening reception.
Alex Aldrich (right), Executive Director of the Vermont Arts Council joins
the conversation about the importance of the arts in Vermont.
After the reception, Patricia and William toured the Statehouse
next door to the governor's offices. It is a beautiful capitol
building that you should take the time to see if you are in Montpelier.
