"In Brattleboro, my studio looks out onto the Connecticut River. The view changes constantly and it regularly inspires my paintings. I would estimate that each year I do three or four paintings that are derived from the view. This is one of the more literal interpretations of the sun rising from behind the mountains in the winter.
