"I love the slash of glancing light on a rich autumn hillside. I tend to shy away from the spectacular colors of Vermont's autumn landscapes in favor of the earthier tones of autumn's past-peak. Painting in the colors that autumn really offers results in artificial and gaudy colors that don't feel right."
