"Sunrise at The Ovens" Oil on Panel, 16" x 23"

"The name "The Ovens" refers to the bread oven forms of undercut caves along the base of these beautiful cliffs near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. I've done watercolor and oil paintings of this place and I always enjoy going to see these dramatic cliffs cut away by the ocean. It is almost inevitably atmospheric in the mornings and makes for some great compositions. It is one of my favorite places to visit."
