Kate "Kate"
Oil on Canvas
38" x 28"

"Kate is dressed in my interpretation of a dress made by her grandmother, Gail Hamlin. The dress is circa 1780. I didn't try to be completely true to the period, but rather give the feeling of a lovely young woman in the dress of her ancestors in Nova Scotia. I recorded the process of creating this painting and put together an animation that you will find very interesting. Click here if you would like to see a bit more detail in the painting."
