| "Sugaring Season" is my first print using embossing in the print. Snow, being white, is the perfect subject with which to start experimenting with this technique. In all, I feel it is quite attractive and really suggests the undulations of the snow. Of course, in Vermont the sugaring season in the spring is widely celebrated. As well as being the harbinger of spring, we have the new maple syrup to look forward to each year. For those of you who may not know what you are looking at, these are buckets hung on spigots driven in to the trees where they gather sap for boiling down to syrup - one gallon of syrup comes from 40 gallons of maple sap.
