"The Connecticut River runs through my hometown in Vermont, freezing over each winter. The last glow of the day offers a range of possibilities which differs each evening. My choice of the yellow-green for the sky was influenced by the New England artist, Maxfield Parrish who lived just north of my home. The bluffs which border the river on the Vermont side offer views over the frozen ribbon and down onto the town of Brattleboro and many others along it's course.
