Above the Cave in Acadia "Above the Cave in Acadia"
Watercolor
7" x 9"

"While my wife and her mother sunned themselves on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park (Maine), I did this watercolor. The title comes from the cave that I was sitting above. The undercut in the rocks sounds out like cannon fire as the waves slosh in and out of the opening. The orange color is an exageration of the pink granite of this most beautiful coastline."
