"This is, perhaps, my favorite painting from this journey. I had a difficult time getting women to allow me to draw them. But the ice was broken and I did manage to do several paintings of them in the street markets in Antigua. Guatemala is a dazzling country and the people are among the most handsome in the world. The textiles woven, embroidered and appliqued by the women are second to none."
