In my time spent studying nature I am repeatedly drawn to water. As the literal life blood of our planet it holds a central position in the greater scheme of things. Light and water interact in the most surprising, beautiful and ephemeral partnerships. One of the most dazzling for me is light passing through clear water, falling on sand and stones in undulating ribbons of color.

For me this leads to my study of patterns combined with rich colors. Since what I’m trying to depict is constantly in motion, I try to find patterns which never repeat themselves and move - like light through water.
